It’s not often we blow our own trumpets, but what better time to do it!
We’ve had visitors!
We don’t often share personal stuff in our newsletter but, since we often spend more time at work than at home, we think it’s important to bring the two together.
At the end of July, George’s beautiful newborn daughter, Frankie, paid us a long-awaited visit. George was worried she would cry, but she was an angel (especially in the 28-degree heat) and, as you can imagine, baby-mad Emma couldn’t resist having cuddles!
Later the same week, Rich’s little ones, Sian and Erin, came to see us too! Since Rich left his home office to join the team at the start of the year, his girls have been excited to visit his place of work – and Emma was glad to even out the boy/girl ratio in the office, almost!
Do you know your first aid?
Despite the fact we work in a small office and sit at computers all day, it doesn’t mean we should ignore first aid!
After all, not a week goes by without a visit from a client, and we want them to feel safe in the knowledge we are up to scratch in the event of an accident or emergency.
Earlier this month, the whole team took part in a TutorCare first aid training course.
From practicing CPR on dummies to putting each other’s arms in slings, the Flamingos feel confident that they are equipped to help each other out should something unfortunate happen.
We would highly recommend Allan, our tutor, who told us so much, yet kept things light-hearted and entertaining too!
