The direct mail dilemma
Does direct mail still have its place in marketing in 2026?
The truth is, like with all marketing, direct mail can be successful as long as it’s done effectively.
Last month, Emma received two brochures and a leaflet from a well-known company – no personalisation, no targeting, seemingly just a random doorstep drop!
That’s direct mail done badly...
In other news, we’ve been running a campaign where we send rubber feet (yes, you read that right) to dream clients to get a ‘foot in the door’, complete with a personal message explaining why we’ve reached out.
Proper targeting, personalised messaging and something people actually remember!
If you’re looking to try a direct mail campaign, get in touch. We’re happy to advise!
Getting the balance right
When it comes to building a website, what’s best to prioritise?
While you want your site to look nice and match your brand, it’s also important that it’s easily navigable and that users know what you do and can find exactly what they need.
Not to mention the importance of search engine optimisation (SEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO) for AI searches. Without this, few people will find your website in the first place.
Our Marketing Executive (and website whizz), Sam, has written an article to help you achieve that balance.
180!
Earlier this month, the Flamingo team headed to Gamefinity in Leamington Spa for a night of pizza, drinks and interactive darts.
Steph and Eden were the clear champions – it seems as if the lads have some practice to do!
Huge thanks to Eden for organising this team social and Emma for the food and drink.
We’ve done bowling, escape rooms, pizza making, interactive darts... now we’re looking for ideas for our next team social.

This could make you more efficient
It’s Monday. You open your calendar. You see 20 meetings across the course of the week.
If you can relate to this feeling, keep reading.
Over the last few years, we’ve had two monthly calls with our clients – one to discuss upcoming content and one to run through what we’re delivering for them that month.
Despite this being logical and serving us well for years, we began trialling combining these meetings to save time (for ourselves and our clients) and ensure that nothing gets lost in translation.
So far, it’s working well!
It's that time already!
We’re heading into the final few months of the year and it’s easy to start putting things into the “we’ll sort that in January” pile.
The problem is, if you want to hit the ground running in January... you probably don’t want to start thinking about it in January!
If 2027 is the year you want to start taking marketing seriously, we can help. Our team of eight span everything from lead management to database building, copywriting, graphic design, website building and more.
When you’re ready to talk, book a call with our MD, Emma Sansom, and let’s get the ball rolling.
