November, well here we are. It only feels like yesterday that Autumn began but already glimpses of Winter are starting to creep in. So, what do the winter months look like for you and your business? You may already be starting to wrap up your finances, reviewing those business goals you set at the start of the year and winding down for the final stretch of 2020.
Don’t take your foot off the pedal just yet because November is actually the best month to get prepared for the New Year ahead. Getting your business planning done in November is a pretty smart move and here are a few reasons why:
- December, Argh! Hustle and bustle come to mind followed by the inevitable winter wind down. Chances of finding quality time to plan out your marketing strategy for 2021 are pretty slim.
- January, blink and the month has disappeared before you know it. The first couple of weeks are always a slower pace as everyone adapts to returning to work after the break.
- In November, your strategy is more likely to be well thought out, rather than a rush in January – where you could lose valuable time during the first couple of weeks.
If you’re a little unsure where to start or you need some support in preparing a bespoke strategy for your business for 2021 – just get in touch, we’d love to help.

Our commitment to helping SMEs
As we all know, Coronavirus really shook things up. It had and continues to have a devastating impact not only in many people’s lives but their businesses too
Being a marketing agency in Leamington Spa, our drive before Covid-19 struck was to support small businesses (especially locally) and we frequently write blogs and offer free advice as and when we can. However, living through the global pandemic we are even more determined to offer free support and help businesses stay on track, sharing marketing ideas for B2B and B2C.
With this in mind, we are now making the commitment to select one business every month to win a free marketing strategy analysis report.
Why do you need a marketing plan?
There are 2 main reasons why you might need to revisit (or create from scratch) a marketing plan.
1 – If you’re guilty of posting randomly on social media, or sporadically writing content with no real objective or end goal and/or if you don’t have the right tracking in place to know what’s actually working.
2 – If Covid has thrown a MASSIVE spanner in the works and now not only has your business had to change, your strategy is semi or completely void.

As a marketing agency in Leamington Spa, we are all about supporting businesses to create bespoke marketing strategies, our name stems from the concept of ‘be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons’ and that’s exactly what we do for our clients. In one of our latest blogs we share five ideas with you about how you can make yourself appear different to your competitors.
Stop marketing the same as other small competing businesses
We are all guilty of it, I’m sure… snooping around our competitors’ social channels, website, marketing materials to check out what they are doing and then trying to do similar things.
No matter what it is that your business does, there’s a good chance that one of your ‘marketing approaches’ is checking out what your competition is doing and trying to do similar things. I have one question… WHY? Read more here.
